You have a feline assistant and supervisor, who helps you do everything, from making the bed to shredding junk mail.

He even has his own website: ww.Smokeythefurry.kitty

Ours helps us maintain that there are no moving lumps in the bed. Even at 3 am. Good Kitty.

BTW, when your assistant and supervisor is helping shred junk mail does his moniker change to Smokey the fury?

He likes to lie down on the job, as in lying down on the papers that I'm trying to shred.

Yup, that confirms his position as supervisor. My cat Abu (or older kitten actually) likes to help me study theology while I'm in bed. She's learning by assimilating the materials through osmosis. It is a great help.

Abu was named because as a stray she would hide but peek out at us when we called and left food for her. The neighbors called her mom Alkida because she liked to attack walking legs from behind.

Later Abu responded as if Peek a Boo was her name, so we agreed with her.

Silly

Now that you mention it, I think you are spot on with that.

Hail doinkdom (they yell from inside the locker) Keeper of the cartoon names! Good job, you must have watched it more recently than I have or you have a good memory.

There are three problems with getting older you know:
(1) you get aches and pains even where there are no bones or muscle.
(2) your skin starts to look like a cheap suit crammed into the back of a closet for decades.

I just happened to have seen it about 372 times...my young daughter loved it! when she was younger. That, and Annie - seen that one FAR too many times.

Ha! I love it!!

... you come home with an "owie" from the doctor's office, and the baby tries to play "nurse" and take good care of the "owie".... and then tries to take a bite!!!

... your neighbors watch you staring into trees, waving your arms and talking to yourself, and making funny noises (because the cat got into a place where it doesn't want to go up or down from anymore.)

This happened today while it was raining this afternoon,
(1) I moved an extension ladder out for the cat who was upon old scafolding 2 floors high.
(2) After coaxing unsuccessfully I climbed up the ladder to try to grab the cat, (we had a long conversation back and forth, but the cat was beginning to panic eventually),
(3) I put a 14 foot 2x10 into a tree (once the cat left the scafolding onto the branch of a nearby tree).
(4) After being stuck in the tree for about 20 minutes on one lone branch, it shimmied backwards down the trunk about 8 feet to a step ladder there and then jumped down.

My double hernia is complaining to me now. The cat got a treat.
I am being successfully trained.

I know I'm alive, because I hurt.
